Search Technology Meetup III - Solr special Event
We recently had a new edition of the Search Technology Meetup with some great talks under the topic ‘Apache Solr’.
A great start was made with original german ‘Leberkäse’ and some networking. After this, Torsten (CTO at shopping24) introduced the new interesting Solr framework LIRE. Which extracts visual features from images that can be easily used for mlt queries. The results may vary but are promising.
Rafał Kuć (Sematext software engineer and solr.pl co-founder) pointed out common mistakes and roads that should be avoided at all costs when dealing with Solr.
Grant Ingersoll (CTO at Lucidworks) showed us in the last talk, what you really need for exploring your data in Solr and do some Data Science stuff with it. He also gave us a really helpful link to some open source projects of Lucidwords @GitHub.
Thanks for the great guests and nice talks! Hope to you soon again!
